Cookies & Local Storage

Last updated: 4 June 2026.

This site uses only limited cookies or browser storage required for site administration, security, language preference and basic functionality where applicable. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are set.

What this site currently uses

Public visitors should not receive analytics or advertising cookies from Ceredigion Watch. Recent public checks found no Google Analytics, MonsterInsights, UserFeedback, WPForms, WPConsent, Duplicator, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Clarity or similar tracking markers on sampled public pages, and no public Set-Cookie headers were detected by curl at the time this notice was created.

The site may use limited functional browser storage, such as local storage or session storage, to remember the EN/CY language preference and whether the provisional Welsh-language notice has already been shown. This is used to make the site function more predictably for the visitor. It is not used for analytics, advertising, profiling or behavioural tracking.

Logged-in administrators

The site administration system may set login, security and administration cookies for logged-in administrators or editors. These are not intended for ordinary public visitors and are necessary for site administration.

Third-party services

The public website currently does not run Google Analytics or advertising pixels. If analytics, embedded third-party media, advertising pixels, heatmaps, visitor-survey tools or other non-essential technologies are added later, this notice will be updated and consent will be sought where required before those technologies are used.

Personal data and submissions

Cookies are separate from the personal data you may choose to send to us through email, the right-of-reply process, or the submit-evidence process. Please see the Privacy notice for information about how we handle personal data.
