ICO Decision Notice — School-Place Fraud Information (2026)

In a request about attempts to obtain school places by fraudulent means, the council disclosed only anonymised data and did not validly rely on section 40(2) FOIA to withhold the requested information. ICO ordered the council to disclose the information, finding its reliance on the exemption unsound.
