The Education Workforce Council Fitness to Practise Committee found an allegation of unacceptable professional conduct proved against school learning support worker Joan Morgan.
The EWC record states that, while employed by Ysgol Llwyn Yr Eos as a school learning support worker, Mrs Morgan was found to have inserted her finger(s) into Pupil A’s mouth and pulled Pupil A by the arm on or about 16 June 2023.
The Committee imposed a Prohibition Order, indefinitely removing Mrs Morgan from the Register of Education Practitioners in the category of school learning support worker.
The EWC record states that Mrs Morgan may not apply for restoration to the Register before a period of two years has elapsed. If she does not make a successful application after 21 May 2028, she will remain prohibited indefinitely. The record also notes a right of appeal to the High Court within 28 days.
